Default Dear fellow gearheads: if you didn't get the Christmas gift you wanted this year...

At Mecum Kissimmee 1/15 - no reserve, just bring your checkbook :

- and since you'll need a trailer to bring your new toy home:

Reminds me of the old days - out in a rural area near the airport there was a dragstrip and about two or three times a year Garlits, Muldowney or someone of that ilk would be there. They'd turn the lights down, torch up the engines and whoa.....pretty cool stuff for a teenager to experience!

I'll be heading down there this week and next.

With an estimated hammer price of around $2.5 million, I'll be watching this one:

It's a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible, one of only 19 made...

Just sold for $70K to an unidentified buyer - think maybe "Big Daddy" Don Garlits bought himself a 90th birthday present...?

Wow, that's a beauty!

My wife just came along and looked at the photo and said, "Wow, is that ugly!"

Eyes of the beholder I guess...
