Thanks! Cropped, but not by a ton. I tend to shoot action at the middle of the focal area then crop for composition. It’s really cool zoomed way in.

More than cool...... Judging by the amount of skin left exposed by that wetsuit it looks outright cold!! Great shot.

Haha, thanks. and yes! It's not warm, but folks have different tolerances. For me it's nowhere near cold enough for a hoodie and booties...yet. Another month. There was even a guy out with a shortie (short sleeves and legs on the wetsuit) on Sunday, so it's kind of all over the place. The shortboarders tend to dress warmer because they sit lower in the water when waiting for waves than the longboarders, and duck under waves when paddling out.

For example:


Whenever I take someone new out, they always worry about the cold. I re-assure them it'll be the last thing on their mind, they'll be plenty occupied with breathing, not getting sucked out to sea, and not having someone shoot a board into their backside.
