I didn't want to start a new thread for this so I'm sticking it here.

Sweetwater has the Solid State Logic SSL X-Saturator Native Plug-in on sale for $20. I couldn't find a video that tells me if this is useful for our genre but for $20 it may be worth grabbing.

Polish up those credit cards; we're only about a month away.

I am looking at various VI's. The Virtual Instrument world is so expansive that it is hard to figure out which ones are the best though. Seems like a new one is being introduced every day. A complicated matter it is. I think that I am set with microphones and preamps. Or should I say..my limited budget keeps me from buying more microphones and preamps. I certainly lust for more. So Virtual instruments and a few processing plug ins is what I am hoping for discount wise.

What about you Jim1960. What are you hoping to get discounts on?

There's not much on my list at this point. I'll probably upgrade to Ozone 10. Their Maximizer is my limiter of choice when mastering. I also use the plugins multiband compressor and the tonal balance feature.

If Izotope's Insight 2 analyzer goes on sale, I might pick that up if it comes up for half off. It's overkill for what I do and I'm pretty satisfied with Levels from Mastering the Mix. I think wanting Insight 2 is mostly just curiosity because I've heard some folks, whose work I respect, praising it.

The things I truly want are not likely to be reduced for Black Friday... a pair of Audioscape EQP-A equalizers and a new capsule for the AR-51. I'll wait on those for a while though and give my bank account a bit of oxygen. Between the new mattress and all the new mics, it's breathing hard right now. I'll still make the BF thread, as I usually do, but I'll try to resist and choose to enjoy hearing about what the rest of you buy.
