Default Tusq nut lubrication

I had a set up and a new Tusq nut installed on a guitar. Very happy with the results! I am wondering if Tusq nuts need lubrication in the slots. I've read conflicting things on that subject.
THanks!

Generally, properly sized and shaped nut slots need no lubrication, regardless of material.

One of the selling points of Tusq is that they're supposed to be self lubricating.

I routinely put a drop of dry teflon bike-chain lube when I change strings. Invisible and cant hurt.

I use Music Nomad tune-it at every string change on every guitar. I'm not sure if I need it but at this point, it's a force of habit.

Tusq black is self lubricated with impregnated teflon.

The white isn't

When I change strings I use a pencil and mark the bottom of the slot.

The nuts in the Tusq XL line (both black and white) are permeated with PTFE, so regardless of which color you prefer, still permanently lubricated.

When I lube I use NutSauce
Does it help?
Does copper infused wrap, ease muscle pain?
If you believe it does.

I used to do the pencil thing myself but something about the black graphite on the white nut bothered me.

That is a common belief, but not accurate. The ones marked XL are self lubricating. Available in both white and black. Have them on most of my electrics.

Sorry, double post.

I only use the oil of the narwal for this. $1,799 per 3 ml little squeeze-bottle, but worth every penny. And what a tonal change, once a nut is properly oiled.
