Default Advise for Maton and Acus amp

After saving hard I’ve treated myself to the perfect setup. I’ve purchased a Maton Acoustic and a Acus 8t amp. It’s fab except for one thing. The Acus is without doubt the greatest sounding acoustic amp however the reverb isn’t ideal. I use two guitars live, the Maton and a Córdoba Flamenco. And I use a Strymonreverb pedal. Sadly the Acus doesn’t have send and return so I go straight in with the Maton and just use the Córdoba into the Acus direct.

I could do with something like the Red Eye dual Chanel mixer. Seems ideal. 2 channels and best of all has a send and return on it. Then go straight into thr Acus with a dry setting.

The red eye is super expensive and here in the UK very hard to get hold off. Is anyone aware of something similar. Don’t neeed eq etc just need a preamp dual Chanel preamp with send and return.

Many thanks

Gary

So to clarify your questions…. Are you looking for a way to use your reverb with both guitars via an effects loop that is ideally part of a two channel preamp?

The Red Eye does look like a good choice. Grace Design Alix or Felix would be too, but more expensive and sounds like you’d like to go less expensive. I don’t really see something compact and inexpensive that fits the bill. Another option that would allow you to consider single channel preamps would be to use an ABY pedal and then run that into a preamp, but that adds another pedal to the mix so that’s not very practical. If I think of something else I’ll let you know.

Many thanks Onething.

I’ve been introduced to an amp specialist who has in the past fitted a send and return to a number of amps, including a Fender Blues junior. Whilst I’ve hopes I know the guys at Acus are very guarded In providing information. Indeed their amps are similar to Schertler amps, and being a break away company everything is closely guarded.

I’ve found a fab company called www.brightonion.co.uk

Based in the uk they’ve provided and make from scratch a bespoke pedals to the likes of the Red Hot Chilli peppers etc.

They are able to make a bespoke pedal, 2 in 2 out and with a send and return for £40.

Seems like the most likely out come.

Yeah that sounds like a great option at £40. It’s nice to have good problems. You have a great amp, a great guitar and a great reverb, your almost all the way there. Should sound fantastic when you are all set up.
