Default D'Addario Beta Testing

My pal Lee sent me a link to apply as a Beta Tester for some new strings D'Addario is considering springing on the unsuspecting acoustic guitar-playing public.
These strings are sporting a new coating that is the "thinnest in the industry".
I don't know if I'll be selected but the last time he sent me a link like this I ended up being a Beta Tester for Martin Titaniums.

Do you know how one gets to be on that list?

That sounds fun. Tell us what you think of the next big thing.
What did you think of the Titaniums?

If you do a search here there is more info than you will care to read on that subject including my review.
Basically, I felt that they are great strings that last a long time, around six months of regular daily play. Tonewise, I liked them on a Spruce/ Mahogany Dread a lot.
The issue is the price.

I was lucky to beta test EB Paradigms and D'Addario NB. I got the email for this beta test as well. Can't wait!

Thanks for synopsis. Enjoy the D'Addarios. I'd love to be able to string 10 of the exact same model of my guitar with 10 different brands of strings so I can do a true scientific comparison. As long as I'm fantasizing, I'll let someone else do the stringing.

I’ve tried to like D’Addario strings but they turn my fingers black. I hope the coating prevents it. I’ll stick with Elixirs and Martins in the meantime.

Sounds right. I’m in the Martin Owners Club and have beta tested their strings.

I just got an email from D'Adderio yesterday inviting me to participate in the beta testing. I also participated in the Paradigm beta testing. I'm in their Players Circle, which I assume is how I got on their list.

Nice idea except for one little issue. None of those guitars will sound 100% the same if they were even strung up with identical strings.....

Sweet. For me my preference goes GHS PB mediums then EJ17s. But I’d certainly try a new D’Addario string out.
