Default Square Deal FS-3 OM 12Fret

SOLD Square Deal FS-3 SOLD

For sale is a very rare finger style guitar. Made by Jack Needham of Square Deal Guitars out of Pittsburg. He’s retired and no longer builds guitars.
His guitars exhibit incredible skills and attention to detail; using only best grade woods and parts for each of his instruments. This one is no exception.

The woods used are amazing. The build quality is top notch. The tuners are very expensive 3 on a plate engraved Waverlys. The neck is 12-fret OM style with a 1-7/8" nut width. Its very comfortable to play. It has a 24 7/8 in scale length with perfect intonation. It has an intoned ivory saddle and bone nut.

Overall, there’s very little sign of wear. There’s some finish checking on the back of the neck that doesn’t hurt the playability. Solid Madagascar rosewood are used for the back/sides, neck block and face plate. Solid AAA grade Adirondack Red Spruce top. Flame maple binding around the entire guitar. Beautiful ebony fingerboard and bridge. Herringbone for the purfling and sound-hole. One-piece Honduran mahogany neck. Slotted headstock. Abalone diamond and square position markers. Tasteful center stripe on back. No electronics. The TKL case is in good-to-very good condition.

I have owned the guitar for about two years. It's never been taken it out of the house. Great projection and balance. Deep bass, exceptional tone with excellent string to string balance. Very elegant guitar made with the finest woods. There’s a small amount of wear on the back of the neck that I couldn't capture with my camera. It does not affect the playability at all. The guitar came to me with a Pearse ebony armrest. I took it off and will include it with the guitar.

Price is $2,750 shipped. No trades please.

It will be well packed and shipped with insurance (lower 48). Thanks for looking. Please contact me with any questions.

Good afternoon. Do you have any photographs of the guitar as one whole? (From headstock to lower bout). Thank you in advance.

Love the neck size. Do you know the measure for the string spacing at the saddle?
Thanks, Ce.

It is an amazing guitar. The build quality and woods are so great. I used this on a couple of film scores and am not playing it so to keep the domestic tranquility, it must go!

Smile Nice Axe!

The sound samples at guitargal are sweet, and you can scope their excellent photos while you listen.

This is a nifty instrument for sure.

Here's what this guitar sounds like. Its not this instrument but it is an excellent example of how this guitar sounds and plays... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y84iFE4DZT4
