Question Tonewood Amp - clone available?

Since my FB feed is relentlessly bombarded with Tonewood Amp ads, I can't help but wonder what percentage of the cost is due to advertising only. Which leads me to wonder - What if one or more of the Chinese companies that make such excellent knockoff effects pedals (Joyo, Mooer, Caline etc) makes a similar product? Not trying to promote intellectual theft BUT when a product is the subject of such a massive promo campaign you gotta wonder - what am I really paying for here?

Ok, I admit it - I'm "thrifty" (aka a bleepin' cheapskate) but as a former 95% electric player who now is 99% acoustic (sorry, old Strat and 335) I still craze TOYS.

It's like a $300 unit; not a huge investment for acoustic guitar things (some people pay that for bridge pins).

Well, there's this: https://www.kepmausa.com/kepma-acoustifex-go

The advantage of this is that the unit doesn't seem to have the big magnetic x-bracket for mounting that the Tonewood has (Tonewood's warning: "Warning - Strong Magnets! Do NOT use this product if you have an implanted pacemaker. Do NOT let the magnets get too close to any magnetic Hard Drives. Do NOT attach the X-brace directly to your ToneWoodAmp. It will be hard to remove!")

I wonder who the first pacemaker player that was adversely affected by this Power Pack?

Strange time based music....... Reminds me of when Tubular Bells came out and I would put on headphones and float around my teenage room.

Good point, although that seems a little nuts to me

Well...this thread is...interesting...
Tonewood did the R&D, the work to bring it to market. But the price causes heartburn to the OP because of a perceived "marketing budget" to sell a product that costs X dollars to develop.

PS. To the OP: What you are "paying for" IS the R&D and the cost to bring a product to market...it's disingenuous to wish for someone (in China) TO steal/copy/rip off the intellectual property of Tonewood's (that IS what you're asking for) WORK and sell it for LESS money.

PSS. Sorry for being part of the resuscitation of a year old thread!!!
