My X20 arrived yesterday. So with regular shipping, it was 10 days from the time I received the "complete and ready to ship" email until it was in my hands in WI.

A little different shipping video this time. Tanya did a great rendition of Angel from Montgomery, the Irish flag guitar was interesting, and the Synergy Uke performance was a bit of a hoot.

And the latest...

Shipping Video 5/19/2023

Today I also watched a great Emerald factory tour video, but it seems to have disappeared from YouTube.

Edit: OK scratch that. I found it again.

Thanks for the catch-up! Randy has left the fold for now - but I’d bet he’ll be back

I just finished watching this - there’s a stunning Kestrel toward the end, with a standard headstock, rather than slotted. That’s not an option listed in the 3D Builder, so I guess you can sometimes stray outside the lines - on request

I saw that Kestrel too. My preference would be for a paddle head rather than slotted headstock on anything, especially if it avoids the considerable upcharge ($650?) for the slotted one. Good thing I'm not in the market for anything.... actually quite the opposite. There may be more downsizing this summer.

I'm going to a local bluegrass and banjo camp all next weekend, and have borrowed a Deering Good Time open back banjo to try some lessons. Heaven help me, the dark side is calling! Since I play a lot of fingerstyle in Open G tuning anyway, and can read the banjo players chord shapes at jams. A standard G-tuned banjo seems to be a small leap.

I think we may need to do an intervention.
