Default advice on replacement for TK-40

Hello all,
I have a Takamine EG-544C-4C guitar which I need to replace the preamp in.
The current preamp (non-working) is a Takamine TK-40.

Does anyone know of a pre-amp that could be used as a direct replacement that will fit in the same cutout? Or is the best thing to do just watch for a TK-40 to become available?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank You
Mike
