Default Fishman battery powered amp

Hi ,I mentioned in a previous thread that [short story] I need an amp where there is no power. I am now looking at trading my Fishman Loudbox for the battery powered one... Anyone own one of these? Recommended? Thanks....Loudbox Mini.... Don't need much power.

They are well regarded. There are others that cost more and cost less. I like the Bose S1 Pro, if you have the budget. The JBL Eon One Compact is good, but requires a phone or tablet for control. Elite acoustics makes several which are well regarded. And, there are some cheaper Chinese branded models available on the web which will get the job done.

Be aware that the Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge uses a sealed lead acid battery. The two main issues with SLA batteries are long charge times and diminishing power as they discharge. They are also heavy.

Elite Acoustics amps use Lithium batteries which charge quickly and give you full power for five hours or so.

I was looking a while back and ended up with a Bose S1 Pro and like it a lot. It's only 15lbs and sounds great!

Elite Acoustics doesn't list the weights of their amps on the web page, that I could find anyway. Are they heavy?

Those Elite amps look very expensive!I was not aware of weight issues with the Fishman; didn't even consider it.

What the heck were Fishman engineers thinking with a lead battery? LiPOs will be too light, and last too long? Im surprised at this apparent gaff in an otherwise excellent amp series.
