Default 1974 MARTIN D-18-S - last bump

RARE beauty for sale Martin D-18S, 12-fret dreadnought manufactured in 1974 with beautiful, deep, rich mahogany tone for the vintage enthusiast.

New Grover Sta-tite 18:1 nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs installed around a slotted headstock, very nice action at 3/32" and 2/32" respectively at the 12th fret, 15/32" height of string in front of the middle of the bridge, big bold sound as only a Martin 12-fret can exude, minor fret wear, ordinary blemishes commensurate with its age, some pick scratches on the top on either side of the fingerboard extension, comes with a black hardshell case that is worn but still very protective.

1-7/8" nut width, 25.4" long scale, great string spacing of 2-5/16" at the bridge for fingerstyle play. Crisp, distinct notes and extremely large, loud voice and long sustain.

No cracks, appears to have a Brazilian rosewood bridge and fingerboard, Sitka spruce top, replaced black pick guard, bridge has been reglued. No neck reset necessary

Price $2,925 including Paypal and CONUS shipping. No trades please.

My first "good guitar" was a 1976 D35S. These old S models are really special--great tone and huge volume. If Rob owns it, you can rest assured, it is a good one. I speak from much first-hand experience.

That is not a crack. You are seeing the seam. The bracing inside is directly behind what you are seeing. It is structurally solid.
