SOLD: 2012 Collings 001 Mh
*** SOLD ***
I purchased this Collings 001 hog top on Reverb a few years ago. It had a small crack in the bridge, so I took it to Nick Plesz at NC Guitar Works. Nick carved a new pyramid bridge out of ebony that is a dead ringer for the original. That, along with a fresh setup, did the trick. It's a great-sounding guitar that lives up to Collings' reputation. It's old enough that the label has Bill's signature. This was my first 12-fret, slot head guitar, and I understand why guitars were originally made to these specifications. More body and projection than you'd ever expect from a small-bodied guitar. The wider nut makes fingerstyle much easier (at least for a beginner like me). It's in excellent condition. No dings on the top, back, or sides. Only some light swirls on the pick guard. Nut width: 1 13/16" Scale: 24 7/8" String spacing: 2 5/16" Serial Number: 20448 Asking $3,400 I'd prefer to use Paypal. I'll absorb the seller's fees and the cost of shipping and insurance in the continental US, and I'll consider reasonable offers.
