I watched Vince Gill jumps into a 'jam' -grabbed someone else's short scale parlor & pulled up an SM-57 and played backing parts masterfully, it's obvious it's not hurting his playing to be switching instrument scales and sizes. He wasn't 'overcoming' anything, but using what he had in his hands to add-to the piece. His is not the only example I've seen…far from it. |

I have 11 acoustic and acoustic electric guitars and a Gretsch G2657T and I play each one the same way- not very good but, I get better every time I pick one up-
