Eb9 open tuning?
Phil Keaggy plays Fare Thee Well in an Eb9 open tuning with a capo on the 4th fret, at least according to the Olson website. Anyone know what this would be?

the notes of an Eb9 chord are:
Eb, G, Bb, F, C# so... you could do: E--->F B--->C# G--->G D--->C# A--->Bb E--->Eb I don't know, I just made this up with the notes...trying not to get you into wierd string gages....only the A, B and high E strings are tuned up...be careful with gages...keep them extra light... I found this with a google search but I'm not awake enough to read it lol...: http://www.larrybell.org/id23.htm |

Found this, but was surprised that the strings listed are in E instead of Eb, perhaps they don't capo as high. I plan on giving it a try today, but more than likely I'll just end up ordering the book that they're talking about. EDIT: Indeed, this tuning is correct, at least according to the tab. And considering that it is a half step high and a capo short of what is listed on the Olson soundbites website, it must be the real deal. Perhaps Keaggy has his reasons for being a half step down, but for tuning convience reasons, I'll keep to this tuning.
