Default John Moreland

Happened on John Moreland this past week via NPR's Tiny Desk concert. Great acoustic/folk artist. I enjoy his In The Throes album. I did a search and didn't see him mentioned on the forum. Just thought I would pass it along.

He's a great songwriter. I hope to see him live someday.

He was day 2 on my Facebook album a day challenge. I actually got turned on to him here on the AGF from one of the “new artists to you” threads

I posted on him a while ago after seeing him on Colbert, did “Break My Heart Sweetly”.......absolutely awesome (tho many dinged him for lousy “quacking” of pick-up being pushed too hard!). Unfortunately, YouTube pulled the vid down

I keep my eyes open hoping to see him live

We have happened upon him a couple times over the years when he was playing summer festivals here in Oklahoma. Very good songwriter/singer/player.

Glad to see John Moreland getting some love. He trully is a great songwriter.. he used to play at the bar right down the street from me when he was first getting started.. Im really happy to see that people still appreciate real songwriting.

I know this is a 2 year old thread but I thought it was worth a bump. First time I ever heard of John Moreland was a few weeks ago when he showed up on a YouTube play list (Cody Jinks). I'm a fan! Wow, great vocals and songwriting.

Too bad he isn't played on any radio station where my travels take me.
