Default Buying cases in the UK - 0-15 size

Hi all - been looking for a case for a new to me 1948 0-15 - it came in an old one which is 00 or even 000 sized, and although it’s no case queen it’s certainly worth preserving in a case that fits and doesn’t need padding out with old T-shirts. Anyone know where I could get a decent hard case? I haven’t been able to find a UK source for a Martin one, which would be the ideal, but I’ll take any correct fit one. Not interested in getting into what the correct historic one would be - I’d rather have one that’ll protect it from toddlers!

Cheers,
Michael

https://hiscoxcases.com/

Great cases, very strong, a lot lighter than a Martin-style wooden case.

Agreed - Hiscox make great cases - but I looked and couldn’t see an 0 size case (unless I’ve missed it which is totally possible)

I suggest you measure your guitar up and talk to them - don’t email, call them. They can fit additional pads to a case that’s slightly large to make a good fit for a smaller guitar. I’m wondering if their classical-guitar case might be suitable with those kinds of pads where necessary?

Worth a try?

I have a Visesnut case for my Baranik deep body 00. Visesnut cases are beautifully made, strong and very light. They also have an adjustment mechanism within the case that allows you to loosen or tighten the padding to suit the guitar. May be worth a look and an email to the makers. Speak to the UK Martin distributor, Westside (if you haven't already), they may be able to help.

Not aware of the current situation, but at one point there was only one choice of Martin case for an 0 size instrument #610 (ABS type) which covered both 12-fret/14-fret 0 and 12-fret 00 models.

Clive
