Hope you have a full recovery. I had a horrific run-in with our Mandolin slicer Thanksgiving of 2019. I still have a hard time fingerpicking as my thumb is permanently numb and missing some shape.

My pics were deleted because they were not "Guitar Related"? Is this not Open Mic? If the pics were too graphic then OK.

I halfway sliced the tip of my left index finger off years ago - I could tilt it over and see the bone, but most of it was still attached. Doc was able to stitch it back together and it ended up healing fine but it took awhile. This was before I played guitar. Now that I do, I am more careful when handling tools and sharp instruments. Good leather work gloves are my friends now.

I won't even begin to describe the things I've seen during 15 years on an ambulance.

I cut my index fingertip on my fretting hand down to the bone a long time ago. Had to get stitches.

During my recovery I played slide. And wow, did my slide playing improve!!

My worst pre-gig cut happened when I was helping empty Dungeness out of the crap pots on a Saturday afternoon and one of them got ahold of the tip of my left ring finger. As the one side of the claw was lined up on my fingernail, the other side sliced the face of the tip of my ring finger, just hours before it was time to hit the stage and play lead guitar for much of the night.

Lots of pain, lots of blood, but I made it through the night, somehow. Lots of other finger injuries over the yeas, but that was absolutely the worst for me.
