Default Ordered the Loudbox Mini package

I just ordered the Fishman Loudbox Mini acoustic amp package from Sweetwater. It seems that with the good reviews that the amp and mic receive, it's just too good of a deal to pass up. I'm buying this without having tried one out, strictly on reputation alone. The small size and light weight will fill a niche in my amplification hardware inventory. I hope the sound that comes out of it will be as good as the reviews claim it to be. I'll find out next week.

Hi IP

I hope it's as much fun as you hope it will be.

Congratulations! Just be careful with the tolex. It tears easily.

I'm quite happy with mine. It came recommended by my music store guy and a guy that we jam with at the coffee shop bought one for his mandolin and it sounds great. Small, light, powerful, looks good.

I was using a Crate GFX 15 that my son-in-law gave me and it sounded fine with my acoustic guitars but have done several side by sides in my man cave with the Crate and the Fishman Mini and there certainly is a difference. Don't ask me to explain it but its better with the Fishman.

I too went the Sweetwater route since it comes with the mic and stand and cable. Haven't used them yet though. Free shipping, ordered on a Monday morning and it was at my doorstep on Wed afternoon. Not bad!

All very positive replies, that's good to hear. How is this amp when plugged into a powered speaker, such as a Yamaha DBR12?
