Default Webber 12 fret 000 (New to forum)

Just dropping by to say hey! Made an account several months back but this is my first post.

Here is my 000 12 fret slothead Webber I picked up in March. Sitka top/Narra back and sides. One of the loveliest sounding (and looking) instruments I've played.

Thanks!

Webber instruments are simply wonderful. I bought my first Webber guitar in 1997 and currently have two.

Nice - is this the one that sold at Paramount a few years back with the 1 7/8 nut?

Please Britton would you be kind enough to describe the tone of your guitar.
Narra wood is a wood that I am very familiar with. Actually I believe there are around 17 different species of this tree.
From you photograph & the color displayed I would guess this version is from the Philippines. It is their National Tree. And of the various Narra's...the Philippines is the lightest in weight and specific Gravity.
In other countries..and another species of Narra it is called Amboyna . Most super red Amboyna comes from Cambodia. Amboyna - Narra from this region is much heavier and harder than the Philippine version
I used to use this wood from both the Philippines and Cambodia for a product I use to make.
So I am dying to know the tonal characteristics you are getting.

Congratulations, that looks like a beauty.

My Webber is the best guitar I have ever played - never fails to make me smile.

Thanks! This one is actually 1 3/4. It was purchased from Vig Guitars in St. Paul.

Wow! Thanks so much for the info on Narra. I was unfamiliar with it prior to purchasing the guitar and love it. Honestly, one of the most remarkable things about the guitar is its weight. It's so incredibly light, handling it feels scary sometimes, but its super comfortable once playing.

As for tone, it is pretty shimmery. Bright with lots of emphasis on tremble. In my opinion closer to mahogany than a rosewood. Another thing I've noticed is how distinct each note sounds, there seems to be a lot of note separation with the guitar. I've played many guitars over the years and am very surprised this tonewood isn't popular. Its beautiful and sounds great.

Again, thanks for your info on Narra. I love learning about it.
