Default Yamaha FS800-NGD

Hey Everyone I thought I’d share my latest purchase. Not that I need another guitar. But I was looking for a cheap guitar to bring on vacation, travel, etc.

I got my niece the same guitar a few years back in the sand burst color and was impressed by it. So I picked this one up the other day in the vintage tint color. The best part is I got it for $170 free shipping.

I’m really impressed with this guitar. It is on the smaller side. However it plays and sounds great. Luckily the action was great right out of the box. I have other way more expensive guitars and I can honestly say I enjoy playing this one just as much.

Thanks,
Rob

I picked one up recently to practice setup work on. It was the pretty sand burst. I swapped the nut with tusq (because they come pre-slotted and fitted)and the saddle with bone and I'm getting it ready for my nephew for Christmas. Neat little guitars.

Love that top! Congrats on the FS800, Rob. They're fun guitars to play for sure.

That's a great instrument! If it had a slightly wider nut it would be all the guitar I would ever need.

It was on sale on Chicago Music Exchange. I’m not sure if they set it up or checked it before shipping. But man for a cheap guitar it plays and sounds awesome.

It is a little tight. But not too bad for another one to add to the stable. The vintage tint is so pretty to look at.

Great little guitar for very little $. I bought one, too - an FS800T - as a perfect candidate for conversion to a mandocello. Great voice for a small body. Came out great. Sounds and plays awesome. Great to know a good luthier/friend.
