Default Very good deal on a Borges at Gryphon

THIS -

https://shop.gryphonstrings.com/prod...ckindian-60165

vs THESE -

https://thenorthamericanguitar.com/p...ruce-pre-owned

https://www.picknparlor.com/acoustic...es-om-mahogany

If I didnt already have one . . . .

Far nicer Indian Rosewood on that one than mine and this guitar is also likely from the Slobod-era, not sure. They do say it was from a large collection "What it could probably use is some time vibrating from being played.

I've always wanted a Borges and the price is certainly right. Has anyone here played it? The description makes it sound like it might be a little tight even after 20 years.

Ah Brian, sometimes it hurts watching you play. You have more talent in your pinky than I’ll ever have in my entire family lineage! What spectacular playing. And what’s up with that thing you did at 1:01?!?!? You just make me smile every time I watch one of your videos.

I’m still hoping to get a new guitar from Jules someday, if he ever starts building again. I’ve been on his wait list for maybe 8-9 years! All 3 of those guitars look great. The TNAG one especially as there are very, very few 000-18s out there and lots of OM-18s. I’ll never sell my OM-18 GG while I can still play and I’d pick up the TNAG one in a heartbeat if it were a bit less expensive.

Yup, some superlative stuff there Brian, brilliantly recorded as well, it's humbling to witness such talent, just beautiful, effortless playing. Oh, and the guitar sounded fabulous

You're too kind, my friend! Wow!! I hadn't noticed that the TNAG one was a 000! Very neat. Get a load of the mahogany on that thing, too! Some of these so-called "Golden Grain" guitars look more like The Tree to me! Amazing. . .

I've played the Pickin' Parlor one and it's very good. Also a *barely* played example. JB's fit and finish is so nice. That cabinet maker background shines through!

Brian, I love your playing! Something to aspire to, some day. Great sounding guitar too. That Borges at Gryphon is a steal.

My god, that's exactly what I wanted when I was shopping back in February. Ended up buying a non-cutaway Borges OM from TFOA for about 1K more. Although, I think the Netherlands is actually closer to Boston than CA, getting it through customs was a pain. Oh well, timing is everything.

I also attempted to make a lower offer for that guitar but the Seller was firm on the price.

So i just got myself a similar Borges closer to home, thanks to the wonderful Youtube clip from usb_chord - will be arriving next week
