Jeff - I hope and trust that Ryan and Steve have let you know that with your new custom Kinnaird guitar, you receive a lifetime free subscription to the Kinnaird Guitar Owners forum on Facebook.

And sometimes a t-shirt and/or ball cap, but apparently only if they like you.

Apparently Tom thinks that’s why I haven’t gotten mine yet.

Kinnaird gear all around! I have been working on a new company branded mid-calf dress sock: the B'sox. A potential tag line for the March party is “Knock your B'sox off...”

Anyway, how bout some new pics of top bracing.

Here’s the layout we start with on our 00’s.

Then after the treaty work with the beavers who mill our brace stock is complete, I glue them to the soundboard.

A little help from a scooped plane...

Some selective sanding left.

And then we scribe our nom de plumes for posterity.

Thanks for watching.

That looks really good. We may have to discuss some patent rights on the socks, but I will have my people talk to your people and I am sure we can work something out.

Default Anticipation

As this is my first time seeing a guitar built for me on Custom Shop, I now understand the anticipation that comes with all the pictures as the guitar gets built, and all the comments, and interestingly enough, the comments made by the Steve and Ryan on other threads that make you nervous!! Like the recent comment on the McKnight build: 'Tell us you didn't sand through....'

Anyway, patience is a virtue, and I am learning...to not look too often at the Custom Shop....I think it facilitates your GAS genes!!

Ha! No worries here Jeff. This build is going about as smooth as one goes. Knock on some well seasoned, bug free, well figured, pre-1969 Brazilian Rosewood. Here’s some more pictures to help slake the guitar-thirst.

Fitting the back to the sides.

Gluing in the side braces.

Smoothing out the soundport.

Putting the back on permanently with high quality rubber.

Completed rims and back.

More soon.
