Heads Up Who Fans - Tommy Album Cover Prints
Bought a poster print 32" x 22" of The Who's Tommy original album cover by artist Mike McInnerey from 'Visual Gallery' in the USA.
Beautifully packaged for postage it arrived here in mint condition. I had it professionally framed. 'Visual Gallery' are still listing these stunning prints for just US$49.00 http://www.visualgallery.com/who_tommy.html

That's some very cool artwork, Bruce!
I remember that "Tommy" album so well! I about wore all the grooves off my records in that album set. What a great job they did on that! Thanks for the memories, Bruce! - Glenn

I still have the Tommy album in vinyl. It gets played about once per year. Great music...great band.

Cool print, and I like the framing job. I was in high school when Tommy was released, and I still remember my then-girlfriend's very cool older brother coming into the kitchen of their house and saying, "have you heard the Who's new record? It's called Tommy; you should get it." That was the only advice I needed. This guy played a Hammond B3 through a Leslie in one of the best local bands around, and if he said I should get it, then I definitely should. He was right.

Ditto. I bought the album shortly after it came out. Still have it and I still think it was/is a brilliant concept by a unique band.

Thank you for this, Bruce.
I was a top 40 guy when my brother left home for the Peace Corps and gifted me his reel to reel and one tape that had 3 albums on it. I listened to them over and over. And over. CSN, Doors' Waiting for the Sun ... but Tommy was the one that opened my musical mind then and for good. This poster is fabulous, ordering one this morning. |

Me? I go for the Roger Dean Yes prints: Close to the Edge, Tales from Topographic Oceans and Relayer.
Remember getting them all at head shops back in my College daze. |

I love it... that's terrific! "Tommy" was a great album... I think Roger found his niche in playing Tommy. I still have mine and it's in good shape.

I recall a college daze night spent with a friend trying to make some sense of the lyrics to Topographic Oceans. We had various aids but apparently they were not enough

I remember reading an interview years ago with either Chris Squire or Steve Howe where the interviewer asked about the lyrics to Yes songs. The answer, and I'm paraphrasing, was something to the effect of "Jon doesn't even know what they mean, and he writes them."

Kerbie I've got that Deluxe Edition CD too - remixed by Pete Townshend himself in Stereo and 5.1 Surround Sound.
