Yeah, I used a '54 ES-295 as a secondary, on stage with a band I used to be in. My primary was a '57 LP Special but I used the es295, a fat, single-cut jazz-box with dog-eared P-90s, for softer, jazzier tunes & I still had to constantly re-position myself to keep howling to a minimum. Wonderful guitar, but virtually useless on louder rock tunes.
