Default My padauk X20/X30 have arrived! Photos are in! (page 3/4)

Kevin said this morning that my X20 and X30 with padauk veneers and a few customizations (pinless bridge, fretboard end contour) are done! Said probably no dice on shipping tomorrow but he'd keep me posted.

I went on their facebook page to see if mine were shown yet and realized I was terrified to see them. It's so hard to tell from the veneers how they'll look when finished. Here are the veneers -- now y'all can be nervous with me!

Those are going to be beautiful! The anticipation really goes up when you are told "in production" and then "done." Won't be long now!

Nice of you to give a helping hand Mr. K. And you called it right, these are beautiful works of art.

The first picture suggests a modification that might be considered in the future. The first picture shows line indicating the outside of the offset sound hole. I wonder if it would be possible to have the veneer follow that line? Just a thought.

RAHHHHHHHHH they must have been busy today. Despite asking Alistair in the morning and Kevin in the afternoon about sending photos, no one sent them.

But they did ship the guitars.

So I have to wait a few days to share photos.... or should I just wait till I open the boxes and not look at them?

I had about 45 dreams last night that I opened the email and both guitars looked awful, either pink and blurry or with the veneers centered way off from what we agreed on. Sigh.

Seriously - have you ever seen a report of anything like this happening from Emerald?

Relax. Have a beer, and pick up that lovely blue X30

seriously? 45 DREAMS! You clearly need some dream therapy. When you lay you down to sleep, you start by thinking of the most magnificent guitar you've ever owned, the one you've ordered. And then you drift to you playing that magnificent instrument to the same level of quality. And then you see the raving fans, hear the heavenly music that you are creating. And then you black out from such exhausting fantasy. When you wake up, you can start worrying again. But at least you'll have had a good night's sleep.
