The Meridian has been sold, pending payment. It's going to a fellow Baranut, so I don't feel too bad.

Actually, I still feel bad, but I like to tell myself I don't.

Nice it's staying in the family. Now, you owe it to yourself to get that super M so you don't feel bad.

Congrats on the sale and thanks to the Baranut that put me out of my misery!

When is your super Meridian scheduled to start, Juston?

Well, it’s kinda like the fuel cell car. It’s the technology of tomorrow.

Fantastic news, congratulations . A Retreux, a OOm and a Meridian - now you have the matched set!

And Juston will know it's in good hands.

The full set, lucky me, right? And I was definitely NOT in the market for another guitar at this stage.

Ever since I got my Retreux in 2013, I've yearned for a Meridian, it just seems like such a well-rounded instrument. My parlor and 00m are both short-scale, and I've always suspected that the longer scale of the Meridian would be an exciting and useful alternative. I've considered buying one in the past, but nothing ever worked out. In fact, that's how I wound up with the 00m, simply because for that guitar, I was able to swing a trade-in deal with Trevor at TAMCO.

At the Holy Grail Show in May, I spoke to Mike about the possibility of ordering a Meridian (or Super Meridian) sometime in the future, but at the time the whole conversation felt very pie-in-the-sky. First of all, I'm still in the honeymoon phase with the Baraniks I already have. Secondly, to be honest, I wouldn't know where to begin with a custom build! There are so many details to mull (and fret!) over that I'd probably feel more comfortable just following Jason Kostal's example when he ordered his Meridian a few years back and let Mike handle everything and surprise me on D-Day.

Despite all of the above, everything changed when this thread popped up the other day. When I first saw a picture of Juston's guitar in 2013, I was gobsmacked! It may be not just one of the most stunning Baraniks or Meridians, but one of the most beautifully-executed guitars I've ever seen. There isn't a single aesthetic detail I would change. It seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity had just come my way, and so I decided to take the leap. Needless to say, I'm so grateful to be able to make this work, for many reasons the timing couldn't have been more felicitous!

By the way, Mike is aware that this guitar has found a new home and is very happy that this is the way things have worked out.

And Juston ? A very accommodating guy with great taste in guitars ! Looking forward to meeting you, man!
