Don't know if any of you folks saw this in the news recently, but McCartney said in an interview (I think it may have been "60 Minutes") that in their entire time together Lennon only complimented him on one said: "Here, There & Everywhere."

Here, There, and Everwhere was a song I wore out the needle on playing the album track when it came out. It was the first song that I needed to use Am7 on. But man, what a pretty melody and chord progression. Many of you may have heard Celine Dion's version, and it is a killer. I wonder if other performers have covered it. A great, great love song!

Reg, I've never heard Celine's version. Thanks for the tip.

How would I be able to hear this medley? Is it only on the vinyl?

I am pretty sure he is referring to side 2 of abbey road in which the songs blend beautifully together. Classic!

Hi Scott, it is on an album that George Martin did several years ago, that included various artists covering Beatles tunes. Here is a link to Amazon showing the cd.

There is a great version of the final compilation on Abbey Road by Phil Collins that kills it! I highly recommend the cd!

For me-Strawberry Fields Forever.
Why-it makes me smile and is fun to play even though my version is not an accurate interpretation.
I learned to play it with a singer friend years ago (rough as) but lovely chord changes and arpeggios on an acoustic.

The two--both early:

1. You're Going to Lose That Girl
(absolutely infectious with an absolute joy in the vocals)

2. In My Life
(simple, poignant, beautiful and moving)

Here Comes The Sun. Very easy to play, and everyone of all ages knows it and cheers when the opening lick is played. Start it off correctly and you have instantly won that audience over. It also does not require a large vocal range to sing. It’s a remarkable job of songwriting that has everyone from grandmothers to toddlers both singing along with you.
