Schertler X Series Amps (David X & Jam X)

Does anyone have experience with the Schertler X series of amps? More specifically the David X and Jam X?

I played several gigs this past weekend with another guitarist who was using a Schertler Jam X and I was very impressed with it compared to my AER Compact 60/4.

I am trying to determine whether it is worth it to spend the extra and get the Jam X or if a David X will be good enough.

I have a Jam 400 (in the AGF classifieds). Other than the weight it is a spectacular amp. Not boxy, open and luscious sounding. I've loved mine.

The X series are slightly more powerful versions. Though the regular versions are more than enough power as well.

Ended up buying a Jam 100 yesterday.

Still interested in hearing other people's experiences with the David X and Jam X.

I've been using a Schertler Jam100 for about 5 years and think it is fantastic.

What kinds of gigs have you been using it for?

I will be using mine with a Carlos Juan CS Carbon Fiber Sensor on a gypsy jazz style guitar.

Last weekend the other guitarist and I both played through his Jam X during some gigs.
