Default Copyright registration for a group of songs from an album

On the copyright page, if gives two options:

1) Musical Works from an Album

2) Sound recordings from an album

I am having a bit of a hard time figuring out which I need. These songs of course have lyrics, but I have no written sheet music for them. Is it best to register as the second and just upload the music?

There was a good discussion of this subject a while back, HERE.

I have not registered any of my original songs for years so take with grain of salt ,,
But I just went to the CO registration and it looks like you want to first select "Works of the performing Arts" and then select "Sound Recordings

As per mentioned in the Copyright Office step by step video around the 3 min. minute mark it mentions Sound Recordings and the underlying works which I think will cover you for both.
