Roland spd kick drum modules which one
Anyone using one of these im undecided on weather to get the sampling version or the one that just has sounds. How do they do for stompbox accompaniment. Ive never been happy with the traducer based systems like the pucks and stomp blocks. Is the sampling version worth the extra cash. I have superior drummer and alot of other samples. But if its a pain to get them edited and on the pedal than i would rather go with the one with just bass drum sounds. Thanks to all

Are you sure you're on the right forum?
All kidding aside, I really have no idea. |

I had one of the non-sampling models. IIRC, you could upload one sound to it, but I never messed with it. I thought the sound was ok, not great, but my standards were low, just looking for a thump.

I have had many stomps (wood and others) over the years. I just recently
tried the Roland unit and I like it. Member in trio also do. Sound more natural. I only use 1 or 2 settings. The only thing I don't like is hi imp out, so I have a DI to take to the board with XLR. Also, so far I like the pressure. Many I have tried give me a bad hip at end of gig since I switch my weight during course of evening. We will see for next 4 hours, I have not tried yet. IMHO |

I don’t love how it sounds. But I don’t have the ability to eq it which may help. Otherwise the design is good.

I recently got the Kick, and I love ALMOST everything about it.
The sound is awesome, and I love that I can tune the drum for specific songs. I float between the lighter acoustic/cajon sounds and the TR models for some tunes. I feel like it has all of the tweak-ability it needs, and the user sample is a nice touch. The part I don't like is that it slides away very easily if playing while standing and actually "stomping". As a seated foot tapper it is pretty well configured. But I will need to do something about those ergonomics, because I almost never play seated. |
