Default "Teal" Gibson SJ200 in Shameless?

In the show Shameless, at the end of season 5, episode 6 (Crazy Love) there is a very interesting looking guitar. It seems to be a Gibson SJ-200 in a teal sort of color:

Netflix won't let me take a screen shot so this is a picture of my screen taken with my phone so the color isn't quite what it is on the show. In the actual show it looks a lot like Godin's Laguna Blue guitar:

Not that I want an SJ-200 in that color but it caught my eye so I did a Google search and I can't find one.

I can find a trans blue which is a much darker blue and a sea green which is a bit closer but to me looks much more green than the guitar in the show. They also made an emerald green but that's dark like a green version of the trans blue.

Anyway, it's kind of bugging me that I can't find one that looks like the guitar in the show so I thought I'd post here and see if anyone knows if this guitar actually existed.

Again, not for any reason other than I like blue/sort of blue guitars and I had never seen this one before.

Thanks!
Matt

Gibson isn't afraid of throwing color on a guitar. I'm always amazed at some of the stock colors they offer. Also they will do about any color you want through the custom shop.

Ah! So it could be something from the custom shop that doesn't exist in the wild? I didn't know they offered that!

Some of the Gibson colors I like, others aren't really for me.

I bought one of the Pelham Blue J45s they made a while back. I love the color but I know it's not for everyone!

Thanks!
Matt

I don't want that guitar, but I do like the color. I'm sure someone out there would love to own it.

I'm with you! I wouldn't buy that SJ200 but I do like the color!

I think different guitars are fun! I have one blue one, one beautiful orange sunburst and one regular looking acoustic.

It probably depends on who you are, what you do and where you do it. I know Jimmy Buffett is a Martin guy but that SJ200 would look right at home on Jimmy's stage.

Those Pelham Blue J-45’s are the first and so far only guitars I would want to buy strictly on the basis of their paint job....

When I was a kid we had a 1956 Chevrolet in a virtually identical color.

Agreed. I know Fender, the one I have has colors that are completely out of whack! I settled for Natural.

Yep! That's how I ended up with one. I didn't need a new guitar at the time but something about that color grabbed me. I love mine! It sounds great too!

I’ve been gassing for a denim blue J-45 for 3 years. Resisted 3 different ones that have been listed on Reverb during that time but if another comes available I will probably succumb.

The denim blue looks great!

I like the SJ-200 in the trans blue too.

I had a blue Taylor a while back. Should have kept it!
