Default SOLD!! TAYLOR Custom/BTO GA Amazon Rosewood and Sinker Redwood! GORGEOUS, VIDEO!

TAYLOR Custom/Build to order GA Amazon Rosewood and Sinker Redwood! GORGEOUS!

Selling an amazing, excellent to mint condition Taylor Custom/Build to Order Grand Auditorium model.
This 2012 custom is collector owned, it has never left the house and was barely played or touched, was always kept in secure, climate controlled home. I am the second owner, when I saw the figure of the back and top, I had to have it! (I am a bassist who simply collects great looking pieces)

Gotoh tuners, Bone nut and saddle, Sitka CV bracing w/relief rout. Ebony wood binding, 1 3/4" nut width, red purfling. ES Electronics pickup system. Original hard shell case.

Much better quality, FULL RES Pictures available here:

Now with video/audio, as requested.

Note, I am not a pro at audio recording, and bass is my primary instrument, but I did my best!

How long have you owned this guitar?
Which ES version does this one have?

I bought this guitar in Jan 2016. Never been out of my house since. Really barely out of the case, as I have a lot of instruments (far too many if you ask my wife!)

It was built in 2012, original build sheet just says "Expression System", so I would assume it would have to be ES-1, as ES-2 didnt come until 2014, unless someone upgraded it (but that wasn't done to my knowledge)

You may be a bass player, but that guitar sounds GREAT!

One thing about bass players, they don’t complain about the string tension on an acoustic! Unlike electric guitar players….

The ES1 had three versions. Two AA batteries? ES1.1

9V battery, Humbucker inside the neck, and two body sensors? ES1.2

No humbucker and only one body sensor (am I forgetting something?) ES1.3

Finally they went to the ES2…

For what they spent on research and development they could have bought K&K a few times over, I wager. Hahahaha

Anyway, great sounding axe! Maybe you should consider a solo acoustic sideline????

Cheers

Paul

Yeah I should have been more specific. It’s not ES2. You can tell that at the bridge.

Any chance you have the build sheet and can narrow to which ES1 you have?

I looked up how to tell online.

The pickup system is an ES1.3, 9v, blue board with a single switch on the preamp, single body sensor.
Ive never used the pickup. First thing I do usually is pull out the batteries..lol

Amazon rosewood is such an amazing tone wood. Deep lows. Sinker pairs perfectly with this. I can only imagine what this would sound like in C#… if I had the funds this would be in my stable . GLWS!

Thank you. I agree , this is a pretty killer combination of custom exotic woods indeed! Surprised its still available, seeing what standard models cost these days, let alone custom pieces...
