Default 2004 Tippin Crescendo Adi/Cuban Mahogany

I am the second owner of this near mint, custom Tippin Crescendo. One of my long term favorite guitars; but the time has come to let it go. Adi top/ hand picked Cuban mahogany back and sides . 1 & 3/4 " at nut and 2 & 1/4 " at saddle. Ebony fingerboard , Brazilian rosewood bridge and peg head overlay. Snakewood and flamed maple binding, gold Waverly tuners with ebony buttons .Original Cedar Creek custom Tippin tweed case
Now 20 years old, this is an outstanding sounding, playing Tippin, with a perfect, slightly V'd neck shape. $ 9,500.00 + shipping.

Best of luck with your sale!

Played one Tippin at Schoenberg's many years ago. Still stands out as one of my favorite guitars I've ever picked up. Thick, rich, clear, and responsive, with a unique and wonderful timbre. Not sure how all that is accomplished, but it was great.

Default Fabulous...

Having owned a few Tippins & foolishly sold all of them over the years, I can only imagine how this plays especially with Cuban "hog". I'm sure this one will be very firm, compressed but complex with all the nuances of Cuban mahogany. How I wish.....

I've seen this model (Crescendo) described at Dream Guitars as a 00 and elsewhere as a 000. Which is closer to the truth? I am pretty much OM all the time, and 00's don't get it done for me. Also, as for the neck shape, it seems like some level of V shape but I'm wondering how pronounced it is. I have no problem with Collings V necks but can't abide Martin's Mod V. Nobody around these parts has one for me to try so, maybe you can address these questions.

Thx, Rob

Default 2004 Tippin Crescendo

Width of lower body on this Crescendo is 15 & 1/2 ", so a little larger than 000.
