Default NGD: Cole Clark Angel 2 Redwood/Blackwood (w/video)

I took arrival of my new Cole Clark Angel 2 guitar and am totally happy with it. I hadn't heard much about Cole Clark until some time last year when the Little Lady came out. I was intrigued.

I understand that these guitars are meant to be plugged in, and when I consulted members of AGF who own a Cole Clark, they all confirmed that. They also warned me that the volume, unplugged, may be quite lower than my other guitars. So I was quite nervous to play it for the first time. But the tone was just awesome, plugged in of course but also unplugged.

I made a quick video of it here:

I apologize for the bad audio quality-- I was using the mic from the cheap webcam I have.

I still have a lot to learn about the pick-up system, which is quite different from any I have used before, having two mics in the body of the guitar.

BTW I purchased this from Elite Music Sales in Montgomery, Alabama, which carries the largest selection of Cole Clark guitars in the U.S. They were awesome. I had trouble getting the pick-up system to work when I first got it and called the store. I spoke with Les, who sold me the guitar, and when he couldn't help me, he gave me the cell phone number of Brian, the manager, was on his way to NAMM. Hesitantly, I called him so as to not bother him while he was traveling, and he called back right away. I told him I live 10 minutes from the Convention Center where NAMM is being held and he offered to meet me to help with the guitar. In the end, it wasn't needed, but that is really going above and beyond.

Congrats! I have a cedar over rosewood Angel with the 2-way pickup system in it. It is a powerhouse plugged in. Enjoy your Angel!

Did either of you gentlemen get the chance to compare the Angel to the Fat Lady? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts if so. Thx.

Hi Andy,

I have not played a Little Lady. When I read the specs I knew it wasn't going suit my needs. And I didn't have access to one close enough to play.

My Cole Clark sounds fantastic. Such a beautiful guitar, plugged in especially.

Oh, man. That's funny. To continue the play on words, I have never tried a Fat Lady. Although I hear great things about them.

If you would like to hear about my experience with the Cole Clark crew, check out this thread: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...ool+experience

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Thanks for the link.

The Fat Lady 3 is on my radar, seems as if it would be a great gigging guitar!
