Need a wireless solution for my wired microphone
I have a Shure SM58 microphone that I am plugging into an Alesis mixer, and I have been looking online to see if there is anything available that simply replaces the cord with a wireless transmitter and receiver.
I've seen the "XVive U2 Guitar Wireless System" for guitars, so I was assuming there would be something similar for microphones, but I'm not seeing anything like that so far in my internet searching. Does anyone know of anything like this for microphones? |

None that I'm aware of. What are you trying to accomplish? If you attach some type of wireless transmitter to your SM58, it will still be tethered to the mic stand rendering you stationary and introducing another possibility of failure and noise. From experience, if you decide to go wireless (like a head-worn) spend the many hundreds to get something decent. Anything less will be a disappointment.

This would be just for home use, mostly so that my wife and I can sing karaoke stuff from the sofa, watching the lyrics on TV. We just wanted a cheap solution to the microphone wire dragging across the floor.
Our current setup is the Sure SM58 into the Alesis mixer, and TV sound into the same mixer, then mixer into our stereo. Side note: the sound from the TV through mixer into stereo sounds like it's in a tin can--not sure why. Thanks |

Xvive has the U3 system but I've never seen it sold anywhere. I might be a coming soon or perhaps not available in the US...
http://www.xviveaudio.com/productInfo.asp?id=366 Yep, there it is, not available for the US... Too bad, looks cool. |

OK it looks like the Xvive U3 will be available in USA around the end of this month. But it's $200, so I might have to wait for Behringer to copy it

FWIW, AKG Perception is a really decent wireless mic for around $150 on sale for a new one. Takes one AA and lasts a long time.
I've searched for a plug and play thing you describe and it seems as though the ones worth buying cost more than the Digital Shure units with a Beta 58. There's this: https://www.genesis-technologies.com...RoC4WIQAvD_BwE

Suspect you are using the 'headphone' output from the tv into a 'line in' input on the mixer?

No, the output from the TV is a pair of RCA cables (red and white), going into the red and white RCA inputs marked "2 Track" on the mixer, then the "2 Track" red and white RCA outputs from the mixer are going into two red and white RCA inputs on my stereo.

The only problem now is that the mic volume has to be turned up to max (max volume, and max gain) in order to hear it over the TV, but it just about works like that. Thanks |

Here it is listed at B&H. I’ve had one on order since March. I just called now and they are expecting them at the end of July: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ..._wireless.html |
