Other Sounds
We speak of and sometimes even argue about specific sounds that our Martin, Taylor and Gibson guitars have. How do you describe the sounds of other brands?
How does an Olsen sound? How about a Larrivee? Does Alvarez have a distinct sound? What is the Guild sound and do the Westerly Series guitars have the same sound as the U.S. made guitars? What is the sound of your guitar? |

Larrivee' = Balanced voicing, warmer than Taylor and richer across the tonal spectrum.

Lowden, to me, sounds rich, airy, lush, loud, thick, meaty, balanced. Mine is particularly responsive as well.
I've always thought that my skin chemistry kills strings because strings on my D18 GE seem to die after 3 or 4 weeks, but I rock strings on my Lowden for 3-4 months and only change them because I want to. 3 months later it's still loud and responsive as can be.

I'm doing a +1 on this description for my Avalon.
