#'s 1 and 3. Combined with price. they add up to value-the reason that I purchased the only Taylor that I own(so far)

1. The sound

2. I live in San Diego county and I like the idea of supporting the local economy.

I like 'em because of the $100 bill that's taped inside of each one.

Playability is my no 1

but without the others, it wouldn't really matter.

All of the above partially, but you left out the most important one IMO:

Playability!

While it's probably a mixture of all of those things that makes me like Taylors, I voted for sound. I mean, that's what it all comes down to. There are a lot of pretty guitars and most any guitar can be made to play well with a good setup but it's the Taylor sound that really appeals to me.

Sound for sure!

I'm not really a big fan of the overly thin necks and would actually prefer a beefier neck on my 814ce so that I have more leverage when playing jazz and even regular barre chords.

Actually, I like the appearance as well and I especially think the x12 and x14 models have really nice curves and profiles.

All of the above, but it was the amazing playability that first got my attention.
