When I was in high school I really enjoyed this (friends thought I was nuts) This week I revisited it and remembered why I liked it. I also really enjoyed the Finesse album from a few years later.

Hopefully this takes you to the full album.

I've been a fan of Peter since April 14, 1973 when I first saw Genesis as an opening band for It's A Beautiful Day. Genesis blew them away!

This afternoon we saw this amazing pianist (I'd never heard of him before going to the recital).

I was fresh out of the womb on 4/14/73 lol. But better late than never. That is not to say that I wasn’t listening to great music before the 80’s. Frank Zappa, David Bowie and Queen come to mind, but memory is fuzzy on albums and song titles. I definitely remember “The Wall” the day it dropped. My mother hated it, I freaking loved it and still do!

Peter Gabriel's live show from Athens (1987) is perhaps my very favorite live performance committed to video, right up there with Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense.

Just one example, as the entire show is over the top ...

I listened to most of Tom Petty's top 100 songs as voted by listeners on his XM radio channel over the holiday weekend.

I've kind of rediscovered his music and dug into it a lot deeper since his passing. Lot's of good and accessible guitar tunes in his catalog.
