Arrow 2013 SMB Custom Shop Kronbauer -- Mint -- SOLD

*Sold*

Hi all --

I'm listing a guitar I recently acquired and love, but found out I need surgery that will stop my guitar playing for up to a year, so I don't want this one sitting around, gathering dust. It needs to be played.

It came from a trusted AGF seller (Luria) and you can find the post here still under "Kronbauer to the Maxx" and that's an understatement.

This guitar comes with beautiful woods, a bezel for ease of playing (I've tried: it's wonderful, but doesn't help my problem). For those on the West Coast, it's a great guitar from Trevor Kronbauer, who learned from Ted Thompson.

If photos don't load, try this link:

http://s1140.photobucket.com/user/ho...?sort=2&page=1

Here are the specs:
  • Kronbauer Small body (SMB)
  • Englemann top
  • Best East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides
  • 9 piece neck -- beautiful
  • AAA Koa binding on Headstock, Neck, Body, Heel cap
  • Koa back strap
  • Custom Kronbauer wood rosette
  • Figured walnut arm bevel
  • Koa Backstrap
  • Maple purfling
  • Walnut end graft
  • 14 fret
  • Ebony Headstock overlay, fret board, and bridge.
  • Gotoh 510s w/Ebony buttons
  • 1.75" bone nut width
  • Set up for fingerstyle playing, but excels with a pick as well. It's set for 3/32" at both high and low E's, with no buzzing and a recent set-up
  • 2 5/16ths E-E string spacing
  • LR-Baggs I-Beam installed

Due to the health issues, I will be listing a few guitars for sale in the coming months, but this one has been on a ToneRite when not played, and is in fantastic condition. I'd call it mint, or from a store.

Thanks for looking. If interested, there are plenty of YouTube videos on Kronbauer guitars: nice balanced tone, with good bass and great fingerstyle or picked.

Thanks. No trades, unfortunately.

Is the SMB comparable to an 00 or 000 in size?

Thumbs up More comparable to an 00 -- very comfortable

Hi,

It's more 00 sized than 000-sized, and the bevel makes it much easier to play. Sounds much larger, though. It's as strong as an OM I'm trying right now, but the OM has a bit more volume. Cowboy cords for a while for me.

Thanks Howlin Bob! I owned owned one of Trevor's TDK guitars at the beginning of this year, and traded it off when I had a bout of GAS hit. Been thinking about getting another one...for the money, I'm not sure there is a better quality guitar out there. Trevor's workmanship is phenomenal.
Not sure I want a small body, but will give it some consideration.

Thumbs up Small body, but not small sound

It's not a huge guitar, but I've owned an MJ and this one and this one holds its own...thanks for looking.

This looks like a REALLY nice guitar for the money. A LOT of extras!! If I wasn't full up to the brim with guitars, I'd take a leap on this. Best of luck on your sale!

Ahh, so many guitars, & so little time ..... and cash .....
I've played this one, BTW, & she's a beaut! Fine woods, excellent craftsmanship!! I found I had to stop playing, so I could put it down & just stare at it ...... It looks, plays, & sounds like a guitar 4 times the price! And you couldn't find a better seller; straight shooter all the way!!

..... and when the Visa bill comes in the mail, just hand it to your wife, & say, "Ah honey, you deserve it!"

Thumbs up I like how you guys think!

Hope your weeks go well. Let's find a good home for this Kronbauer. Interesting trade options and a local potential buyer or two, but won't be playing for a while and this beauty needs to be played. We're all blessed with great guitars. Even my "basic" guitars are better than my talent will be for a while. Life happens, roll with it, then get on the horse again.

Call or email for a few soundclips if interested I had made by a friend (can't play well enough now), but it will give you an idea.

Cheers,

Bob

I purchased a guitar from howlinbob many months ago....
I learned that whatever Bob says about a guitar, can be counted on for sure.
All went soooo smoothly with my purchase from him from the onset.

howlinbob is one of the GREAT guys on our AGF.

Default Thanks Dr. Bob -- very kind...

And if any of you happen to deal with Dr. Bob, he comes highly recommended. We had an easy sale on a Martin, and he's an even better person. Thanks!
