I actually refer to it as "sideways scalloping", inspired by Yngwie's Fender Strat.

I hope it allows me to play faster up there despite the lack of cutaway.

Joe,

that's beauty beyond words!

As you can see from the picture of the 2 guitars side by side, how much more beautiful the non-cutaway looks with all it's symmetry.

Just gorgeous.

Thanks Keyshore.

I've considered a cutaway on a number of occasions but always ended up with non-cutaways so far.

But I know I will bite at some point and get a cutaway... Perhaps a mod D. Dreadnoughts with no pickguard and no cutaway look a bit "fat" to me.
