Hey Craig, thanks for following the build. Yeah, these are double sides, triple actually. This is an idea I got from a dear friend and old shop mate Jeremy Clark. I’ve been using them for about three years now and I can’t imagine myself going back.

I glued up the neck blanks last night, planed them clean this morning. I’m not sure there’s anything more satisfying than revealing a perfect glue joint.

Very nice work! clean and crisp. Good case of almost "monotone" colors that work. Are you going to do some pore filling on back and sides?

Craig

Thanks Craig! I like to keep it simple, understated l, and well executed. The guitar will be pore filled, and then receive a full gloss u.v polyester finish.

I’ve got the neck mortis and tenon cut, and fingerboard extension mortis and tenon. This neck is ready for the carbon fibre rod and truss rod.

No sweat.... I’ll be using my shop made carbon fibre u-rod ( an idea I got years ago from my friends Burton Legyt and Jeremy Clark) along with a beautiful, stainless, dbl action truss rod made by the Mark Blanchard.
