Default New composition with SCGC - “Migration”

Hi folks. This is a new original in open C tuning (C G C E C E) with my Santa Cruz. A little more ambitious than my usual, so I’m looking forward to your feedback. Thanks as always for listening!

Hi Larry,

Very nice! I enjoyed your musings there! That is a really great sounding guitar! I have never played that SCGC model; I'd like to someday, never mind that I already have way too many nice guitars!

Be well Larry!

Hi Larry!!
Agree with Glenn....that guitar really sounds good! I enjoyed this one....listened twice......the back strums and hammer on's bring a lot to this piece and fit nicely in there!!
All the best,
Fred

Hi Glenn. Thanks! If you ever make it down to Southern California, let me know. You’re welcome to play mine. I’ve found that, at least for me, a medium set of D’Addario nickel bronze strings brightens it up a bit and makes it really sing. Thanks for commenting!

Hi Fred. Thanks so much! That hammer on thing with the right hand was new for me. I really appreciate your comment!

Wonderful, Larry! I thoroughly enjoyed that. Quite different, but very interesting. I found myself rather captivated trying to figure out where you were going next. That was fun!

Very nicely done. As always, excellent use of dynamics. Love that Santa Cruz.

How's that leg coming along? Better every day, I hope.

Hi Kerbie, thanks! Yeah, this was different. This tuning really makes it - with the 6th string tuned all the way down to C, but the 1st string still up at E. Such a wide spread, it makes for a BIG sound, and the Santa Cruz can handle that spread. I find it fun to play around with open tunings.

Thanks for asking about the leg - its coming along, stronger everyday. Maybe not as fast as I’d like, but that’s how these things go. How’s the hip? Hope you’re well!
