Someone gave me the leftover wood from a bed frame
So, I’m building a guitar case stand inspired by this from String Swing.
The pieces are cut to size and the bulk of the old finish is stripped. Next steps: plane off 1/64” all around to make sure finish is gone, sand to 200 grit in steps, round edges on the routing table, put together and finish.

Looks like a great project and a useful way to store your guitars. Enjoy!

Going to be darn heavy to carry around. Make sure you get a good sturdy handle.

They are building a case-stand. Not a case.

Thanks. Looking at your username, would you be in British Columbia? I’m in NW Washington State and the Fraser Valley winds (and their intersection with the winds coming around the Olympic Mountains) are what make our weather our weather (I also have colleagues in FV).

My brother gave me some bed slats like that he found dumpster diving, I posted about it recently. Mine are quartered European Beech, probably from Ikea. So far I've used them for bridge plates, sanding blocks and templates but I think they'll make good banjo bridges and block rims.

And, it's done. Life happened and I had to take some time to getting around to it.
