Very nice! What program(s) did you use to make that video? I've been wanting to put some of my shots to my own music, but I'm not sure how!

I used to have a "program" that I could put together up to 6 slide projectors and show those along with music, but that was a long tume ago, back when film ruled the world!

Hi, I made the video a long time ago so I'm not sure which program I used. I would probably say the one that came with my computer. Which is Windows Movie Maker.

Cool - I'll see if I can check that out. Thanks - I really enjoyed your photos!

Not exactly spectacular photos, but I'm often trying to capture trail building. People seem to take good trails for granted and not realize they represent a lot of work and to some extent talent.

Last week we were touching up an area where people were getting off the trail tread, and another where it's been a long process to repair flood damage.

I rarely carry one of my better cameras anymore but need to do that more or more likely, do a phone upgrade in the next cycle. I see the computational photography capabilities lets a phone camera get results like I used to get with a dedicated camera.

You're not alone! Most of my MTB group contributes to the local trails. Here we are rebuilding Sawpit trail at Demo in Santa Cruz. It was lost due to some selective-cut logging in the area a few years ago (it is a demonstration forest), but some hard work by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz and the local crew brought it back.

My oldest son last year at Upper Sand Creek Lake in Great Sand Dunes National Preserve.

Nice. Too bad more are not doing it.

My other point on the photos is to possibly make it look more attractive to give time. That did motivate two new helpers but the opportunities for greatness exceed the resources to make it happen.

That's too bad if it's slow in your area, the volunteer situation is really good here. MBOSC does trail days on the weekends and before COVID, you'd get 70-90 riders coming out to work on the big projects on the weekends. Even during the week we'd get 10-20 folks out there on smaller projects.

But we have a huge population here and a lot of riders, so that's probably a big factor. The other one is that MBOSC is really well organized. And we have a lot of major trail networks here.

Montara SB, north of Half Moon Bay. Surf was pretty darn good yesterday, got out in the evening when the smoke cleared. You can still see old WWII batteries at the top of the peaks in the distance.

The terrible covid virus has meant no Durham Regatta or pro cycling here in Durham this year, both big events at a national level . . .

Took this one on one of our rare smoke-free days recently.

Noticed some nice light on the breakfast table as the sun set. Smoke in the air adds the color, so I guess take advantage of a bad situation. They're lemons, and look like oranges – that's how much color the smoke is putting into the light right now.
