Default Ergo armrest/bevel....after the fact?

I'm wondering if modifying and existing box, by adding an armest bevel, makes any sense at all. I did not give it any thought on the build and am now really wanting it.

Am I dreaming here? Does this need to be planned for right from the start?

Best,
David

David, are you talking about retro-fitting a bevel onto a completed guitar box (i.e. top has been glued to the sides)? If you are, then retrofitting a bevel will be pretty much the same as "re-building" the guitar. You'll need to remove the top, and redo the kerfing in order to accomodate the base for the bevel. It would also require cutting down the side (bass/lower bout) for the bevel, and you would need to redo the purfing and binding to match-up with the bevel. All in all a lot of work...not sure that it would be worth it. If the top has not been attached to the sides yet, then it may not be as much work.... Aloha, Hen
