That's the US made G&L, correct? Did you do any A/B'ing with a Fender Strat?
That is a USA Legacy. 2TSB, Deep-V neck profile, 12" radius.

I have A-B'd them before, yes. The G&L actually has a tad more treble than a Strat, so rolling the treble control back a hair brings it into pure stratland. The dual-fulcrum trem is really stable, I can give it some abuse and it comes back for more. I actually prefer the feel of a G&L, but I understand why some prefer a Fender.

With the 12" radius and the deep V profile, its closest Strat is an Eric Johnson.

I prefer the 12" radius of my Les Pauls over my Strats. You've got a sweet G&L.

Thanks. In casual conversation I call it "the best guitar in the world." Others may have a different opinion, but that's how much I love it.

Default My Strat

Bought this one brand new in 2004, after graduating from high school, in lieu of a senior trip. I haven't stopped gigging it since then.

It has been through several pickup changes and one refret -- currently, rocking two Lollar Imperials a la Jimmy Herring and a David Gilmour sized trem arm.

The current crop. L to R are American Deluxe, MIM Nashville Tele (photobomb), pre-modded MIM Strat, 1995 USA Roadhouse with Texas Specials and an aftermarket neck w/ebony fingerboard, Wilkinson vibrato.

The white one has been modded to this...took a very nice MIM Strat and replaced everything on it...Fender Hot Noiseless (same as Jeff Beck sig. model), Wilkie bridge, hipshot locking tuners...all in gold (including the jack cup). It was a nice ax to begin with...it's now exceptional (and QUIET!).

This is a custom shop that I installed a set of Abigail Ybarra 69 pickups in. It has the "strat" tone nailed.

I'll show mine. Here it is folks, probably the lightest solid body stratocaster in existence. It weighs in at 5lbs 4oz !!!!! Have to keep a tight grip on it to keep it from floating away. It's a partscaster with an '99 American standard neck, Custom shop '54 pickups, and callaham bridge.
