Good call.

I've seen a few on occasion at thrift stores.

I'm going to decide on a couple units and see what comes up on CL first.

El Duque;

Even if the speakers should sound a bit tinny or "off"-kilter, anything decent will have line level outputs to connect with an amp or PA or stereo... and even the really cheap flimsy keyboards sound pretty sweet when you run the line out....

Happy Hunting! If you're going to down this way, let me know with as much advance notice as you can, and I'll check for anything new in the shop and hold it back for you!

I suspect you will find something quite useful very easily right up there, though... great, inexpensive way to discover if you want to "continue" down the Keyboard Rabbit Hole... which is even MORE costly, MORE temporary and definitey MORE of a Slippery Slope that getting into electric guitars, pedals, amps, gizmos...

There should be a sign that appears when one begins to enter this sort of sinkhole...

"Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here"!!!

Not ALL of the cheaper keyboards with built-in speakers have line-outs, many have just a headphone output.
