John and George look much more aged than do Paul and Ringo. I wonder if Paul and Ringo, being vegetarian are showing a less aged appearance (plastic surgery non withstanding).
FWIW, while visiting my brother a few weeks ago, my wife showed him a picture of myself of my freshman college ID. He did not believe it was me. And there was only a 45 year difference.

If a person is born with that classic facial bone structure and keeps from gaining much weight with age, as Cary Grant and Paul Newman did, a guy can still look reasonably good with advancing age -- at least up to a point. The same is true of women.
Most of us are not born with that great bone structure and do gain weight with age, so we more often tend to end up looking much more like old guys and gals. - Glenn

The pictures used for Paul and Ringo are merely representations of how they actually appear today. As they're alive and of a certain age they've done things to stave off the years (potential plastic surgery and hair dye for sure) whereas since John and George are gone IMHO it appears they simply aged them in the pictures with none of those "enhancements" since we don't actually know if either would have gone for that stuff.

That was my reaction, too...Elvis didn't look THAT good when he died at 42.

One thing that occurs to me is that this ageing method doesn't seem to incorporate a "male pattern baldness" factor.

Doesn’t male pattern baldness tend to happen early on, like 30s and 40s? |

Lennon's hair was already thinning somewhat by the time he died. If he'd lived till now, I imagine he'd have little left on top.
