Photos of Alternative Pickguards for Taylor 322e
I have a Taylor 322e with a black plastic pickguard. Compared to the tortoise pickguards, the black looks sharp--until it gets minor scratches with use. The uniform color makes the scratches more obvious.
No/clear pickguard is not an option because the guitar already has a tan line. I know that some players have installed custom pickguards on mahogany tops. I wondered if anyone has pictures of alternative pickguards on a 322 that they could share?

322ce 12 fret pick guard
I removed the pick guard from my 4 yr old 322ce 12 fret a couple mos ago. I followed the example someone posted on here on eliminating the tan line. Trace the removed guard on a piece of cardboard and carefully cut it out. Tape it over the guitar so only the lighter pick guard area is exposed. Use tin foil to cover other exposed wood areas. Use a low wattage uv light bulb and place it about 16” above the area. In about 2 weeks the tan line was barely visible and I could only see it if I really looked. For me this is better than a replacement guard.
